Today we’re revisiting this install after one full month. This client has complete hair loss due to alopecia, so proper prep, placement, and maintenance are everything.

🎯 Let’s Talk 27 Piece Maintenance

When it comes to a 27 piece quick weave, the nape section (back area) will always require the most attention.

Because we constantly move our necks turning, bending, laying down, resting against clothing that area experiences continuous friction and motion. Over time, this natural movement will cause the back to loosen on its own.

This is one of the main reasons the back of a 27 piece does not stay laid long term.

It is completely normal for tracks to begin lifting within 2–4 weeks.

What is not normal is lifting within the first week.

If premature lifting happens, it’s usually due to:

• Insufficient adhesive application
• Improper track placement
• Lack of proper prep
• Inconsistent at-home maintenance
• Excessive sweating (workouts or night sweats)
• Frequent scratching or friction

These are just a few common causes.

It is important to understand that this hair is not growing out of your scalp so the expectations are different.
